How do I register Revu?

After you’ve purchased the software, you’ll receive a License Certificate from registration@bluebeamops.com, which includes your serial number and product key. If you’ve lost your License Certificate, please contact License & Registration to request another copy.

Please follow the steps listed below for registering Revu, based on whether or not your computer is connected to the internet:

To access the Registration screen:

From the Revu 2018 interface:

  1. Open Revu.
  2. From the Revu menu, click Register.

From the Revu 2017 and below interface:

  1. Open Revu.
  2. From the Help menu, click Register.

From the Bluebeam Administrator:

  1. Open the Bluebeam Administrator.
  2. From the Tools menu, click Register.

Completing registration on a computer that is…

  • Connected to the Internet:
    1. Enter the Serial Number, Product Key and computer name. The computer name will assist in tracking multiple licenses at a site.
    2. Click Register. The required information will be communicated back to the Bluebeam server in order to authorize the software.

      Authorization is complete. (If the authorization does not complete, follow the steps below.)

      During the registration process, Revu communicates with the registration server over the internet. Please make sure the following locations are not blocked by your firewall or proxy server.

      Revu 2016 and above

      • https://activation.bluebeam.com

      Revu 2015.5 and 2015.6

      • https://bluebeam-us-east.accesscontrol.windows.net
      • https://activation.bluebeam.com

      Up to Revu 2015.1.1

  • Connected to the Internet, but behind a firewall or the online registration fails:
    This process doesn’t apply to customers whose Revu installations use our cloud-based Open Licensing system, which requires a reliable internet connection in order to communicate with the registration server. Please contact your local network administrator to get the connection issue resolved.
      1. Enter the Serial Number and Product Key and click Register.
      2. Click Authorization manually, then Continue.
      3. Click the web button or the hyperlink at the top of the window. A web browser will open and connect to the Software Activation page on bluebeam.com.
      4. Review the information in the browser and click Get Authorization Code. Your authorization code will display on the next page.
      5. Enter the code from the browser into the Manual Authorization window and click Authorize.

    Authorization is complete.

  • Not connected to the Internet:
    This process doesn’t apply to customers whose Revu installations use our cloud-based Open Licensing system, which requires a reliable internet connection in order to communicate with the registration server. Please contact your local network administrator to get the connection issue resolved.
      1. Enter the Serial Number and Product Key and click Register.
      2. Click Authorization manually, then Continue.
      3. Copy down the Serial Number, Product Key and Security ID.
      4. From a machine with Internet access, open a web browser and browse to https://activation.bluebeam.com/.
      5. Type your Serial Number, Product Key, Security ID and Computer Name.
      6. Click Get Authorization Code. Your Authorization code will display on the next page.
      7. Copy down the Authorization code and return to the computer where you are installing the software. Type the Authorization code into the Manual Authorization window and click Authorize.

    Authorization is complete.
