There are two Bluebeam buttons in Microsoft Office

Applies to:

  • Revu 2017 and older

Problem:

After installing Revu 2017, you now see two Bluebeam Plugins in your Microsoft Office Applications.

Solution:

Revu 2017 can be installed and run side-by-side with Revu 2016. This gives you the opportunity to evaluate Revu 2017 before purchasing. Since there are two versions of Revu installed, there are two versions of the Bluebeam plugin as well.To remove the duplicate set of Bluebeam buttons, all you need to do is disable one of them in the 2017 version of Bluebeam Administrator.

Make sure you only use Bluebeam Administrator 2017, and only use Studio in Revu 2017. Since Revu 2016 and Bluebeam Administrator 2016 will not recognize Revu 2017 and Bluebeam Administrator 2017 plugins and settings, a number of problems may result when using the 2016 Administrator.

To disable the second plugin:

  1. Close all open Microsoft Office applications, as well as the 2016 version of the Bluebeam Administrator if it’s open.
  2. Open the 2017 version of the Bluebeam Administrator:

Click Start > All apps > Bluebeam Software > Bluebeam Administrator 2017

  3. Click the Plugins tab, look for the Microsoft Office plugin, and make sure the plugin you want to use has a check mark next to it.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Start the Office application.
