Studio DE – Frequently Asked Questions

This article applies to:

  • Revu 20
  • Revu 2019

Studio DE is a Studio instance hosted in Germany that ensures you can effectively collaborate and manage your project information while meeting local requirements.  Physical proximity to a server can have some positive impact on upload and download speed. If Germany is closer to you than the server you’re currently using, you may notice an increase in upload and download speeds.

How do I Access Studio DE?

Studio DE is accessible through Revu 2019 and Revu 20. To log in, you must create a separate Bluebeam ID (BBID) that is specific to the German server. Each regional server is completely independent and no user data or accounts are shared between them.

In Revu 20:
  1. Open the Studio panel (Alt+C)
  2. Click the flag icon and choose Studio DE .
  3. The Studio sign in dialog will open. If this is your first time logging into Studio DE, you’ll have to create an account in Studio DE.
Revu 2019 users must first add Studio DE to their list of servers:
  1. On the Studio (Alt+C) panel, click the flag icon and select Manage Servers .
  2. Click Add, and then enter in the Address field.
  3. Click OK.

Studio DE will appear in your server list.

If I have existing Studio Projects or Session on another Studio server, how can I access them on Studio DE?

Since data is not shared between Studio servers, you must transfer your files from one server to the other.

For Projects, you can download your files, and then upload them to a new Project you’ve created on Studio DE.

With Sessions, you can finish your current Session and download the files to your local machine. Once complete, simply create a new Session on Studio DE and upload your files there.

Please note that Bluebeam is unable to transfer customer data between servers.

How do I invite a user to a Session or Project who does not have a Studio DE account?

Invite them as you would any other user.

How can I recover a deleted Studio DE Session or Session document?

Will Studio DE support SSO or Two Factor Authentication?

While SSO/2FA won’t be available at launch, we do plan to support it.

My team speaks German. Will everything be localized for them in the German Studio instance?

  • German users accessing Studio from within Revu for Windows can expect a full German interface.
  • Emails sent from Studio are currently only available in English regardless of which instance a user is utilizing.
  • The Studio portal is only available in English.

My team does not speak German. Will they still be able to use Studio DE?

Yes, since the selection of the server is not tied to user language preference, you can connect to any Studio instance while having any supported language selected from within the Revu preferences panel. Automated emails from Studio, however, will continue to be English for the time being.

When will you have Studio (the UI, emails, etc.) available in other languages?

At this time, we cannot provide a specific timeline for translating all Studio content to non-English languages.
