You encounter the following error when attempting to update, install, or update Revu:
“Package Bluebeam Revux64 Error: Error 1723. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action PreInstall, entry: f2, library: C:\WINDOWS\Installer\MSIDDE3.tmp“
Disable Malwarebytes (preferred solution)
If you have Malwarebytes installed on your system, disabling or uninstalling the software should resolve this issue.
Edit Temp Folder Security Permissions
- Navigate to the following location in the File Explorer Window:
C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Local\
- Locate the Temp folder. Right-click the folder and select Properties.
- Select the Security tab.
- Select Edit and then select Add.
- Type Everyone into the Object field. Select Check Names and then select OK.
- Select Everyone from the Group or user names list and then select Allow under Full Control.
- Select OK.
Once complete, restart your system and attempt reinstall Revu.
