Removing duplicate page sizes | Revu 2017 & below

Problem

Occasionally, PDF files are created with the wrong orientation or dimensions. This is usually due to multiple entries existing within the Bluebeam PDF printer’s index of page sizes. When multiple page sizes with the same dimension are present, the Bluebeam PDF printer may not know which instance to utilize.

Solution

This behavior is easily remedied by removing any duplicate entries from the index, or creating an appropriate entry for the page size needed.

  1. Open the Bluebeam Administrator.

Go to Start > All Programs > Bluebeam Software > Bluebeam Administrator.

In Windows 10 and 8.1, click or press Start and type Bluebeam Administrator.

    -Or-

Go to Help > Administrator in Revu.

  2. Click the Printer tab.
  3. Click the Manage Pages button in the Printer section.
  4. Delete any page sizes defined as “Unknown” or those that have identical or reversed dimensions as the default (i.e., ANSI, BIND, ISO, Letter, Legal, etc.).
  5. Select the duplicate name in the list and click the Delete button to remove it.
  6. Click Apply when finished.

In the event that a desired page size does not exist, a new one can be created.

  1. In the Printer Page Manager window, click the Add button to create a new page size.
  2. Type the Form Name and Paper Size, select the Units and click OK.

Rebuild the AutoCAD Page Sizes after changing or adding page sizes.

  1. Close AutoCAD, if it’s opened.
  2. Click the AutoCAD Page Sizes tab.
  3. Click the Clear and then Rebuild buttons to rebuild the AutoCAD page sizes.
  4. Click the OK button once the list has been updated.

PDF files should now be created on the correct page size with the correct orientation.
