Applies to:

  • Core
  • Complete

Problem

You’ve subscribed to Bluebeam’s Core or Complete, but don’t see the Bluebeam plugin in your AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp Pro, or SolidWorks installations.

Solution

The plugins for AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp Pro, and SolidWorks are only available for Bluebeam’s Core and Complete subscribers.

The Basics plan by Bluebeam doesn’t include access to plugins, but you can still create PDFs from any of these applications via the Bluebeam PDF printer.

To activate the CAD plugin, first check the Compatibility Chart to see if your version of Revu supports the installed version of your CAD software. Once confirmed, follow the steps below:

You’ll need to run your CAD software while using the current Windows account for the Bluebeam plugin to load.
  1. Close your CAD software if it’s running.
  2. In Revu, go to Revu > Administrator from the Menu bar.
  3. Go to the Plugins tab, select the appropriate check box for your software, and select OK.
  4. Restart AutoCAD.

If the AutoCAD check box is already filled:

  1. Open the Bluebeam Administrator.
  2. Clear the check box and select Apply. Don’t close the Administrator.
  3. Open AutoCAD. Once it opens, close it immediately.
  4. Return to the Bluebeam Administrator.
  5. Select the AutoCAD check box, and select OK.
  6. Restart AutoCAD and close the Bluebeam Administrator.
