Revu can translate your PDF markups to other languages. The Translate Markups feature will translate all comments in the text field of PDF markups, as well as all the replies and comments in the Markups List.

The Translate Markups feature applies only to markups. The text of the PDF is not translated. Additionally, flattened markups cannot be translated, and the translation will be permanent if you save the PDF.

Revu must connect to the Internet to use Translate Markups.
  1. Open the PDF in Revu.
  2. To translate your markups, go to Document > Translate Markups.
  3. In the From dropdown, select the existing language, or select Auto.
  4. In the To dropdown, select the output language.
  5. Under the Page Range field, define the pages you want to translate.
  6. Select OK.

The translated text is visible in several different places:

  • the text of a Text Box
  • Typewriter
  • Callout
  • Note or popup comment.

Other text, including the replies and comments for non-text markups, like a Cloud or Rectangle, can be seen in the Markups List (Alt+L). Comments for all markups, but not replies, can also be seen at the top of the Properties panel (Alt+P).
