When typing in Revu, some words or phrases will be auto-completed for you, based on previous entries. The list of auto-complete items can be managed, exported or imported (.xml format), making it easy to share or transfer them to a new computer.
To manage your Auto-Complete list
- Go to Revu > Preferences
(Ctrl+K).
- Under the General section, go to the Spelling tab.
- Click the Manage button.
If you want to export or import a list, click to highlight the items, then click Import or Export.
- From the dialog box, select the items you want to manage. Then, add
or delete
them from your list.
- Click the gear
to edit the items in your list.
- Click OK.
To Disable Auto-Complete
- Go to Revu > Preferences
(Ctrl+K).
- Under the General section, go to Spelling settings.
- Clear the Enable Auto-Complete checkbox.
- Click OK.

Revu 2017 and older
Revu allows you to turn Auto-Complete on or off, or to add or remove your own terms to an Auto-Complete list. When Auto-Complete is enabled, Revu will attempt to auto-complete certain text entries based on previously entered text, as well as any terms entered in the Auto-Complete List.
To access the Auto-Complete Settings
- Go to Settings
> Preferences
(Ctrl+K).
- In the Preferences dialog box, select General from the list.
From here, you can:
- Turn Auto-Complete on or off using the Enable Auto-Complete checkbox.
- Add, edit, or remove terms from the Auto-Complete List by clicking on the Manage button. This will open the Manage Auto-Complete List dialog box.
