Length and Polylength measurements don’t appear in correct units

This article applies to:

  • Revu 20.2 and above

Problem

Your drawing scale is set to meters, but your Length or Polylength   measurements appear in millimeters.

This is caused by a feature update in Revu 20.2 that lets you set independent units for Length and Polylength measurements without creating Viewports. For example, if you set your page scale to meters, Length and Polylength will default to millimeters. To change these measurements back to your preferred units, see the solution below.

Solution

Set your preferred default units for Length and Polylength measurements.

  1. Open the Measurements panel (Alt + U) and select a tool:
    1. Length (Shift + Alt + L)
    2. Polylength (Shift + Alt + Q)
  2.  Under Length Measurement Properties, select the Length dropdown and choose your desired unit.

    1. You can also do this from the Properties Toolbar along the top.
  3. Open the Properties panel (Alt + P).
  4. Scroll to the bottom and select Set as Default.

All future Length or Polylength measurements will appear in your desired units.

Updating multiple measurement markups

While the solution above only affects future measurements, you can also batch update multiple existing measurements all at once.

  1. Select the markups you want to update.
For tips on selecting markups, see Editing Markups.
  2. From the Properties Toolbar along the top, select your desired units.
