Make Revu for Mac your default PDF application

You can set your default PDF app either from Revu preferences, or the Info window of a PDF.

Set As Default App in Revu for Mac Preferences

  1. Open Revu for Mac Preferences. You can either:
    • Go to Settings revu-icon > Preferences settings-32x32.

    -Or-

    • Select Revu > Preferences from the Menu Bar.

  2. Select General from the list on the left, and check Set As Default PDF Viewer.

Set as Default App from the Info Window

  1. Locate a PDF document on your hard drive, and click on it once so that the file name is highlighted. Don’t open it yet.

  2. Open the Info window by either:
    • Pressing Command+I.
      A list of Revu for Mac keyboard shortcuts is available in the Revu for Mac Help menu and on our website.

      -Or-

    • Right-clicking or Control-clicking the file and selecting Get Info.

  3. Select Revu from the dropdown menu in the Open with section.

  4. Click Change All to make sure Revu is set to open all PDF documents.
