Studio Password Complexity

Summary

All new passwords must be between 8 and 32 characters, with at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number and one special character, such as !@#$%^&*.

This article covers the best practices for the Windows and iPad versions of Bluebeam Revu and Vu, and assumes that you’ve set the program to log in to Studio on startup. If you haven’t done so already, please log in to your Studio account before following the steps.

Revu and Vu for Windows

In Revu and Vu 12.5 and above:

You can change your password from the Studio  tab as follows:

  1. Open the Studio Preferences dialog box by clicking Settings in the Studio tab.

    If you’ve forgotten your Studio Password, click the Lost Password link to receive an email containing instructions for creating a new one.

    Once you’ve created your new password, close the Studio Preferences dialog box, sign out of Bluebeam Studio by clicking the arrow next to the Connect icon, and then log in again.

    At this point you have finished the process, and do not need to complete the rest of the steps in this article. However, if you do remember your password, please proceed to the next Step.
  2. Click Manage Servers.
  3. In the Server Profiles dialog box, double-click studio.bluebeam.com.
  4. In the Edit Server dialog box, click Change Password.
  5. In the Change Password dialog box, enter your current password along with the new one.
  6. Click OK

In Revu and Vu 12.1 and lower:

You can change your password from the Studio  tab as follows:

  1. Open the Studio Preferences dialog box by clicking Settings in the Studio tab.

    If you’ve forgotten your Studio Password, click the Lost Password link to receive an email containing instructions for creating a new one.

    Once you’ve created your new password, close the Studio Preferences dialog box, sign out of Bluebeam Studio by clicking the arrow next to the Connect icon, and then log in again.

  2. Click Account Settings.
  3. In the Change Password dialog box, enter your current password along with the new one.
  4. Click OK.

Revu and Vu iPad

If you’re using the Revu or Vu app on your iPad, you can change your password from the Studio Preferences as follows:

  1. Tap the Preferences icon in the upper-right of the interface.
  2. Select Studio from the list on the left.
  3. Tap Lost Password in the Studio Preferences dialog box.
  4. Tap OK when the Studio Message notification appears, and then follow the steps found in the email that was sent to the address associated with your account.

    If the email doesn’t arrive in your inbox, please check your spam or junk email folder, and make sure that do-not-reply@bluebeamops.com is on the approved list of senders.
  5. Close the Preferences window.
  6. Log out of Bluebeam Studio by tapping the Connect icon in the Studio tab.
  7. Tap the Connect icon again to log in to your account with the new password.
