Unable to join Studio Sessions, receiving error “Access to the path…is denied.” Updated

Update

Webroot has stated that they have fixed the issue via an automatically deployed update. For more information regarding the update, you can take a look at this thread on the Webroot community forum. Note that if you applied Webroot’s previously recommended work-around, they anticipate you will need to manually reactivate the “Check files for threats when written or modified” option within their software. If you are still experiencing problems, please contact Webroot’s Customer Support.

Problem

The anti-virus software, Webroot, is blocking proper access to the Studio files contained within your PC’s AppData folder.

Solution

Webroot is currently working on an update to correct this issue. In the meantime, see the workaround suggested in this thread on the Webroot community forum.  They recommend that you deactivate an option within Webroot’s settings called, “Check files for threats when written or modified”.
