Update error: “The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.”

Problem

You receive the following message when updating to Revu 2019.1:

“The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.” 

Cause

Revu 2019.1 references the source MSI (installation package) used to install Revu 2019.0 or 2019.0.20. If you moved the installation package for 2019.0 / 2019.0.20 to another location or deleted the files from the server, you won’t be able to complete the update without relocating these files.

Solution

You’ll need to relocate the installation package you used to install Revu 2019.0 / 2019.0.20. You can re-download the installation files if you have deleted or misplaced them. 

After locating or downloading the base installation package:

  1. Attempt to update Revu and note the source path being requested. You can identify this path by the location populated under Use source.
  2. Place the installation package in the given location. If you have moved the installation package to another location, click Browse and select the new source path. 
  3. Click Ok. 

The update will now proceed to completion.
