Add measurements in Bluebeam Cloud

Bluebeam Cloud allows users to add basic measurement markups to their documents directly from the web. The following measurement tools are currently available only on web Sessions:

  • Length Measurement
  • Area Measurement
  • Count Tool (available only on Core or Complete subscription)

Information regarding any measurement markups added to the document can be found in the Comments and Shapes panel. Any markups created using the measurement tools in web Sessions will appear in Revu.

Prior to using the measurement tools, users must set the scale in Revu before adding documents to Sessions.

Length Measurement

Calculates a singular linear measurement. To add length measurement:

  1. Open a document that has a set scale.
  2. Select and hold the measurement icon.
  3. Select Length Measurement.
  4. Click two points on the document to calculate and add the length measurement.

To customize or remove the measurement markup, do the following:

  1. Click and drag your pointer over the markup you wish to customize or remove.
  2. You can customize the following properties:
    • Line Color
    • Line Width
    • Line Style
    • Line Opacity
    • Line Start
    • Line End
  3. To remove markup, right-click and select Delete. You can also press DEL on your keyboard to remove selected markup.

Area Measurement

Calculates the area of a simple rectangle or of an irregular, polygonal shape. To add area measurement:

  1. Open a document that has a set scale.
  2. Select and hold the measurement icon.
  3. Select Area Measurement.
  4. Click and drag to create a simple rectangle to add the area measurement. Users can click individual vertices to create a non-rectangular shaped measurement.

To customize or remove the measurement markup, do the following:

  1. Click and drag your pointer over the markup you wish to customize or remove.
  2. You can customize the following properties:
    • Line Color
    • Line Width
    • Line Style
    • Line Opacity
    • Fill Color
    • Fill Opacity
  3. To remove markup, right-click and select Delete. You can also press DEL on your keyboard to remove selected markup.

Count Tool

Places a markup for each mouse click, associating a running total of counts with each markup as it is placed. To add count:

  1. Open a document that has a set scale.
  2. Select and hold the measurement icon.
  3. Select Count.
  4. Click anywhere in the document to add count.
  5. Press ESC when finished.

To customize or remove the measurement markup, do the following:

  1. Click and drag your pointer over the markup you wish to customize or remove.
  2. You can customize the following properties:
    • Fill Color
    • Fill Opacity
    • Count Style
  3. To remove markup, right-click and select Delete. You can also press DEL on your keyboard to remove selected markup.
