Centralizing your Settings

Bluebeam Revu enables the centralization of all network settings for users within your organization. You can define a centrally located configuration path for all page size definitions, text stamps and settings that Bluebeam uses.

In this example, a directory is created on a server and shared as U:\BBSettings\ for all workstations to use.

  1. From the Start menu, go to All Apps > Bluebeam Software > Bluebeam Administrator. Bluebeam Administrator launches.

  2. Select the Net Config tab.

  3. Select Managed Net configuration. A Windows Explorer dialog box appears.

  4. Browse to the centralized location and click OK. A copy files dialog box appears.

  5. Select from the following options:
    • Copy All: Click if this folder is being configured for the first time to configure the network directory.
    • Merge: Click to combine any custom settings on the current workstation with those saved on the network.
    • No Copy: Click to point to the Network location without integrating any local settings.

Note: If you do not want users to make modifications to the shared network directory, set the folder permissions to read-only for the users. They will be able to point to the directory, but not be able to make modifications to the files within the directory.

  1. From the Start menu, go to All Apps > Bluebeam Software > Bluebeam Administrator. Bluebeam Administrator launches.

  2. Select the Net Config tab.

  3. Click Defaults to restore the default local settings.
