Web Favorites allows you to save a web URL to be easily reloaded later in a WebTab, as well as set the home page (or home pages, if desired) for WebTabs and import Favorites from Internet Explorer.
On the WebTab Navigation bar, click Favorites.
The currently defined Favorites pages are shown below the Edit Favorites menu option.
To manage your Favorites:
From the WebTab Navigation bar, click Favorites and select Edit Favorites. The Edit Web Favorites dialog box appears.
Select the desired Favorite and choose from the following options at the left of the Web Favorites list:
Opens the Add/Edit Web Favorite dialog box. If a Web favorite was selected first, this allows you to edit the favorite's Title or URL. If no Web favorite was selected, the dialog box is empty and you can manually enter a new favorite.
Copies the selected favorite to Home Page(s).
Moves the selected favorite up in the list.
Moves the selected favorite down in the list.
Deletes the selected favorite.
You can designate multiple web pages as WebTab home pages. The topmost web page will be the one that opens by default when a new WebTab is opened or when Home is clicked. Secondary home pages, meanwhile, are easily accessible from the Home Page menu, especially when your Favorites list is long.
To manage your Home Pages:
From the WebTab Navigation bar, click Home and select Edit Home Pages. The Edit Web Favorites dialog box appears.
Standard Favorites allows you to share Favorites with colleagues. Favorites can be exported from Revu as an XML file and then used by other instances of Revu.
A Standard Favorites list can be stored on a network drive so that multiple users can access it. When an instance of Revu is configured to use a Standard Favorites list, it copies that list when it is opened, but does not otherwise open or access the file. This means that a Standard Favorites list can be updated (or replaced) at any time, though users will not see any changes until they close and reopen Revu.
Standard Favorites are exported as an XML file. This file can be sent to another Revu user or placed on a network drive to be accessed by several users. It is a static file; none of the users connected to it can edit it directly through Revu. To update a Standard Favorites list, edit it manually or export another XML file and replace the old one.
From the WebTab Navigation bar, click Favorites and select Edit Favorites. The Edit Web Favorites dialog box appears.
When Revu is configured to use Standard Favorites, you will have two lists of Web Favorites: the Standard Favorites and your local Favorites. You can use a Standard Favorites XML file that is saved on a local or a network drive, though only one Standard Favorites list can be used at a time. Standard Favorites are loaded every time Revu is opened; changes made to a Standard Favorites XML file will not show up until you close and reopen Revu.
Go to Settings > Preferences. The Preferences dialog box appears. Click WebTab.
