Select Text

Select Text allows you to select chunks of text in a PDF. You can select continuous text, only text within a specific area, or all the text on a page. It works on text in the content layer of a PDF. There are several actions that can be performed on selected text, including:

• Hyperlink
• Redaction
• Copying
• Text Editing
• Searching

Selecting Text

There are several ways to select text content in a PDF.

To select continuous text

1. Go to Edit > PDF Content > Select Text or press SHIFT+T.
2. Click and drag over the desired text. All text between the start and end points is selected.

To select text in a specific area

1. Go to Edit > PDF Content > Select Text or press SHIFT+T.
2. While holding down CTRL, click and drag over the desired text. Only text in the described area is selected.

To select all text on a page

1. Open the PDF to the desired page. This feature automatically works on the page that is currently active.
2. Go to Edit > PDF Content > Select All Text or press CTRL+SHIFT+A. All text content on the page is selected.

Once the desired text has been selected, right-click it to see a menu of actions that can be performed on it.
