Snapshot

The Snapshot tool copies text and raster or vector content to the clipboard. When a Snapshot is pasted in a PDF with Vu, vectors will remain editable; when pasted into an external application, a raster image will be pasted.

  1. Go to Edit >  Snapshot.
  2. Click and drag a rectangle or click the desired points to define a polygonal shape around the desired area. The area defined flashes blue, indicating a Snapshot has been taken.
  3. Press ESC to exit Snapshot mode.

  4. Use any of the following methods to paste the Snapshot within Vu:

    • Go to Edit > Clipboard >  Paste.
    • Press CTRL+V.
    • Right-click and select Paste.
    • Click Paste on the Edit toolbar.

Tip: When using either the CTRL+V keyboard shortcut or the right-click > Paste method, the snapshot is pasted at the current position of the mouse cursor (specifically, the lower-left corner is placed on the cursor).

Note: While you can take Snapshots of markups and content from any PDF, you can only paste the Snapshot in a Studio Session PDF or external application.
