Individual pages or a range of pages can be pulled out of the current document into a separate file or group of files. The process does not alter the original document, so it can be performed on PDFs that have been certified and/or digitally signed. It cannot be performed on PDF/A documents, however.
Note: PDFs that have been certified cannot have pages extracted. Additionally, extracting pages that have been digitally signed, but not certified, will remove the signatures from the extracted pages.
The Extract Pages dialog box appears.
Select the Page Range to be extracted from the Pages menu. By default, the page that is currently active or the selected thumbnails (if the Thumbnails tab method was used) are selected.
For example: 1-3, 5, 9 will include pages 1, 2, 3, 5 and 9.
Delete Pages After Extracting: Select to remove the pages from the current PDF. The pages will be permanently removed from the current PDF. This option is not available if the PDF has been certified or digitally signed.
Use Page Label to Name Files: Select to use the page label in the name of the individual PDFs.
Note: This option should not be used if the page labels contain any characters that Windows considers invalid for use in file names, including \ / : * ? " < > |
