Add markups to documents from third-party document management systems

Applies to:

  • Bluebeam on the web

In Bluebeam on the web, you can add markups to documents from your third-party document management system (DMS) without having to import files.

Bluebeam on the web supports the following integrations:

  • Microsoft SharePoint Online
  • Microsoft OneDrive
  • Procore Documents

Connect a DMS

  1. Sign in with your Bluebeam ID (BBID).
  2. Select Documents from the left sidebar.
Any supported integration that you've already enabled will appear on this page.
  3. Select Add Account.
  4. Choose your DMS and sign in to the account associated with your DMS.
  5. Allow Bluebeam to access your files.

Add and edit markups

After you enable the integration, select your DMS to locate the file you want to work on.

Currently, Bluebeam on the web only supports PDFs.

Use the available markup tools to add markups to your PDF. For a list of Revu markup tools that are fully supported, partially supported, and unsupported in Bluebeam on the web, see Markup compatibility.

To navigate the pages within a document, use the navigation bar at the bottom.

To view markup data, set statuses, and reply to markups, select Markups in the top right corner.

As you add and edit markups, Bluebeam automatically saves those changes to your DMS. If you need to restore a previous version of your document, use the version history tools in your DMS.

When you have the same document open in both Bluebeam on the web and your DMS, changes won't sync automatically between the two views. To see changes made on either platform, close and reopen the document.
