  • Bluebeam on an iOS device

Overview

Bluebeam app allows you to join and collaborate in Studio Sessions and Studio Projects from your iOS device. As a Session attendee on mobile, you can view the latest drawing updates and markups from other collaborators, create and edit your own markups, add comments, or reply to threads. As a Project host or attendee on iOS, you can browse folders, view revisions, and download drawings.

Using Sessions

After you sign in with your Bluebeam ID, tap Studio Sessions. You'll see a list of any active Sessions you've been invited to or created elsewhere.

Since Session creation is not supported on iOS or Android, you need to first create new Sessions from Revu or Bluebeam on web.

Once you select a Session, you can view and navigate through all documents that were uploaded to that Session.

While you can view all markups from other collaborators, you cannot manage attendees or adjust their permissions. Use Revu to manage your Session.

Access Sessions offline

You can work with Session documents even with limited or no internet connection. Any document you've previously opened will be accessible offline.

If you know you'll be offline, open all needed documents in advance. Documents you haven't opened will appear grayed out and can't be accessed until you're back online.

While offline, you can view and add markups to your opened documents. When you reconnect to the internet, all your changes will automatically update in the Session.

The Pending Updates panel shows you which markups haven't yet synced to the Session. To view these markups, select Pending Updates next to the document title.

Mark up drawings

Within an active Session, tap a document to open it. Tap the plus button to access markup tools. You can create new markups and edit or delete any markups you've made in Revu or web.

Comment on a markup

To comment on a markup in iOS, select a markup, and under the Comments tab, tap Leave a comment.

In the Bluebeam app, users with a Bluebeam plan can add markups to PDFs in Drawings. After you log in to Bluebeam app, select a Session and choose a drawing.

You must upload drawings through the browser.

Markup Tools

Tap the plus button to choose a markup. To place a markup, tap the area of the drawing where you want the markup to appear. You may also tap and drag to adjust the size of your markup before you place it.

You can adjust the size and other visual properties of the markups listed below when you place them. To edit or delete a markup, tap and hold the markup to access the menu.

To leave a comment on a markup, select the markup and go to the Comments tab.

To check the list of supported markups, click here.
