The Page Setup Management dialog box is accessible under Bluebeam Conversion Settings>Page Setup>Manage. Go to the Page Setup help section for more information about this tab.
Users can add or remove custom Global Page Setups, as well as set the default Page Setup for new documents.
Click Add to define a new Global setup. After adding, configure the Page Setup to reflect the desired settings. You may also define this as being the default Page Setup to use by clicking Set Default. To remove a Global Page setting, select the setting in the list and then click Delete.
The Global Page Setup information is stored in an XML file, and its path is configured within the Location box of the Page Setup Management dialog box. In an enterprise setting, many different workstations could point to the same XML configuration file if the files are stored in a centrally managed location. This would make the Global Page Setups, and the default setting consistent across the organization. By default, the XML configuration file is located in the folder:
[All Users]\Application Data\Bluebeam Software\Pushbutton PDF\Page Setup
- or -
C:\ProgramData\Bluebeam Software\Pushbutton PDF\Page Setup
There are several other features that are intended for use in an enterprise setting. If the configuration file is made read-only, or similar permissions are set on the file, the management screen is inaccessible to users, and the settings associated with the Global Page Setups are grayed out so that they cannot be edited. Also, when the configuration file is located on a network, a copy of the file is cached on the local computer so that in the case of network failure, the user would be able to use the cached version of the copy. This feature would allow users to work even when disconnected.
Additionally, the page setup management is a part of the net configuration feature that allows many components of the Bluebeam plugin to be configured for central management. See the help information on Managed Network Configurations to see how this works.
For single users who do not use the network configuration, by default the Page Setup configuration file is created with one Global Page Setup named 'Global'. Single users have the ability to manage their own Page Setups by adding or removing global page setups and setting the default.
