Convert DWG files to PDFs

Applies to:

  • Revu 21
  • Revu 20

Revu uses PDF as its standard file format. You'll need to convert your DWG files to PDF before you can open them in Revu.

This article does not address converting a PDF into a DWG file. If you're using an Autodesk product, a tutorial on this functionality is offered here.

This feature is only available with a Core, Complete, or Max plan. For Revu 20, you must have a CAD or eXtreme edition license.

If you have CAD software, you can use the Bluebeam plugin to create the PDF and open your desired files in Revu.

If you don't have CAD software, you may still print to PDF without the Bluebeam plugin. Download DWG Trueview from the Autodesk website, then follow these steps:

  1. Open the desired DWG file in DWG Trueview.
  2. Select Plot.
  3. Under printer/plotter, select Bluebeam PDF from the Name dropdown list.
  4. Select OK.
  5. Place the file in your desired location and select Save.

Your DWG file is now converted to PDF, which you can open in Revu.
