Set up Revu and AnythingLLM

This feature is only available with a Bluebeam Max plan.

You can connect Revu with AnythingLLM to enhance your PDF workflows using AI. Once connected, you can use AnythingLLM to query active PDFs in Revu, run searches, generate summaries and reports, and automate review workflows using AI.

To set up Revu and AnythingLLM to work together, follow these steps:

  1. Install Revu 21.10 or later.

  2. In Revu, go to Revu > Preferences > Admin > MCP, and select MCP Enabled and AnythingLLM Desktop.

  3. Download and install AnythingLLM for desktop.

  4. Open AnythingLLM and configure the MCP connection:

    1. Select Open settings at the bottom of the sidebar.

    2. Go to Agent Skills and select Edit MCP config next to MCP Servers.

    3. Replace the contents of the .json file with the following, and save the file.

  5. Select Refresh next to MCP Servers. The Bluebeam MCP server should be listed.

    The Bluebeam MCP server may show as "0" under MCP Servers.

    If the Bluebeam MCP server is not shown, try the following:

    • Select Refresh next to MCP Servers.

    • Restart AnythingLLM.

    • Confirm Revu MCP is enabled in Revu preferences.

    • Verify that the MCP config JSON file is valid.

    Select the MCP server to see a list of available Bluebeam MCP commands.
  6. In Agent Skills, confirm the following:
    • Generate & save files is On.
    • View and summarize documents is On.
  7. With a PDF open in Revu, try a basic prompt in the AnythingLLM desktop app: @agent In the active PDF in Revu, how many pages are there?

    You must use Agent mode to use the MCP server. To use Agent mode, type @agent before your prompt or select Start Agent Session at the bottom of the chat window.

Configure your LLM provider

Before using MCP workflows, configure an LLM provider in AnythingLLM.

  1. Select Open settings at the bottom of the sidebar.
  2. Under AI Providers, select LLM, and then select your preferred LLM Provider.
  3. Configure the required credentials or API keys.
  4. Confirm the selected model appears within your Workspace.

 

Manage the Bluebeam MCP server in AnythingLLM

  1. Select Open settings at the bottom of the sidebar.

  2. Go to Agent Skills and select the Bluebeam MCP server under MCP Servers.

  3. On the Bluebeam MCP page, you can do the following:

    • Select and select Stop MCP Server to temporarily stop the connection to the MCP server.

    • Select and select Delete MCP Server to remove the MCP server from AnythingLLM.

    • Select to enable or disable specific Bluebeam tools. To learn more about each tool function, see the General FAQs.
