Set up Revu and ChatGPT

This feature is only available with a Bluebeam Max plan.

You can connect Revu with ChatGPT to enhance your PDF workflows using AI. Once connected, you can ask ChatGPT questions about your open documents, run text searches, create summaries or reports, reformat content, and more.

To set up Revu and ChatGPT to work together, follow these steps:

  1. Download and install the ChatGPT desktop app.

  2. Install Revu 21.11 or later.

  3. In Revu, go to Revu > Preferences > Admin > MCP.

  4. Select MCP Enabled and ChatGPT (Codex), and then select OK.

  5. If ChatGPT is already open, fully quit the application, and restart ChatGPT.

  6. With a document open in Revu, try a basic prompt.

    ChatGPT must be running in Codex mode to connect to the Bluebeam MCP server. To enter Codex mode, select ChatGPT in the upper-left corner and select Codex.

Manage the Bluebeam MCP server in ChatGPT

  1. In the ChatGPT desktop app sidebar, select your username, and then select Settings.

  2. Select Plugins, and then select MCPs.

  3. Select the settings icon for the Bluebeam server to manage the Bluebeam MCP.
