  1. Install Revu 21.9 or later.

  2. Open and log in to Revu, and then close Revu.

  3. Download and install the Claude desktop app.

  7. Close and reopen Revu.

  8. Go to Revu > Preferences > Admin > MCP, and select Claude for Windows.

  9. Open the Claude desktop app, select Add files, connectors, and more > Connectors, and confirm that Bluebeam is listed and selected.

If you don't see Bluebeam listed, try the following:
    • Completely quit Claude (either from the tray icon or Task Manager) and restart.
    • In the Claude desktop app, open the menu and go to Help > Troubleshooting > Clear Cache and Restart.
  10. With a PDF open in Revu, try a basic prompt in the Claude desktop app: In the active PDF in Revu, how many pages are there?
Or, select Add files, connectors, and more > Connectors > Add from Bluebeam, and select a preconfigured prompt:

    • Search and replace in markups: Enter the text to find and replace, and select Add prompt.

    • Text comparison: Compare text between two PDF files in Revu. Select the TXT box in the prompt window for details.

    • Batch search and highlight: Enter the text to search for and the highlight color, and select Add prompt.

To learn best practices for creating prompts, see Revu and MCP.

If you don't see the chat page in the Claude desktop app, open the sidebar and select New Chat. For an incognito chat, select the Use incognito icon in the top right corner. For more details on incognito chats, see the Security FAQs.
