Applies to:

  • Revu 21
This feature is only available with a Bluebeam Max plan.

You can connect Revu with GitHub Copilot CLI to enhance your PDF workflows using AI. Once connected, you can ask Copilot CLI questions about your open documents, run text searches, create summaries or reports, reformat content, and more.

To set up Revu and GitHub Copilot CLI to work together, follow these steps:

  1. Install Revu 21.10 or later.

  2. Open your terminal.

  3. Install GitHub Copilot CLI using WinGet:

    Copy
    winget install -g @github/copilot
If Copilot CLI is installed using another method (such as NPM), Revu will not detect that Copilot CLI is installed and the GitHub Copilot CLI option in Revu Preferences will be disabled.
  4. Save and confirm with /mcp show.

  5. In Revu, go to Revu > Preferences > Admin > MCP, and select MCP Enabled and GitHub Copilot CLI.

  6. In your terminal, navigate to a working folder and start Copilot CLI.
  7. With a PDF open in Revu, try a basic prompt.

To learn best practices for creating prompts, see Revu and MCP.
