Add SharePoint as a document management system in Revu
Applies to:
- Revu 21
When you add SharePoint as a document management system in Revu, you'll choose between three authentication methods: Web, Azure, and Legacy. Each method handles how Revu connects to your SharePoint site.
Choose an authentication method
If you're unsure which method your organization uses, check with your IT administrator.
Web authentication
Web authentication opens a browser window for login and supports modern authentication protocols.
When to use it:
- You're connecting to SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365).
- Your organization uses modern authentication with multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- You need the most secure connection method.
Azure authentication
Azure authentication integrates with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory).
When to use it:
- Your organization uses Entra ID for identity management.
- You need enterprise-level authentication controls.
- Your SharePoint is configured with Entra ID integration.
Legacy authentication
Legacy authentication connects to SharePoint using basic username and password credentials.
Add SharePoint with your chosen authentication method
- In Revu, go to Revu > Preferences.
