Back up, reset, and restore Revu settings
Applies to:
- Revu 21
It's important to back up your customized preferences, profiles, tool sets, and stamps for two key reasons:
- Data protection: Keep your settings safe in case of computer issues or hard drive failure
- Device transfer: Move your custom setup when you get a new computer
This article shows you how to back up your Revu 21 settings, transfer them to a new device, and restore them when needed.
Back up your preferences
Your preferences backup creates a .zip file with your Revu 21 settings. Even if you're not switching computers right now, it's a good idea to save this backup somewhere other than your local hard drive.
To back up your preferences, sign in to Revu 21 and follow these steps:
- Go to Revu > Preferences.
- On the left sidebar, select Admin.
- Under the Options tab, select Backup. Digital IDs and stamps aren't included in backup files and need to be transferred separately.
- Save the backup .zip file in an easy-to-access location.
