Install the latest Bluebeam plugin for your CAD software

Problem

You don't see the Bluebeam plugin in your AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp Pro (Revu 20 only), or SolidWorks installations.

Solution

The plugins for AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks and SolidWorks are included in the following:

  • Revu 21: Bluebeam Core, Complete, or Max plans

  • Revu 20: Revu CAD and eXtreme

The Bluebeam Basics plan (Revu 21) or Revu Standard (Revu 20) do not include access to plugins, but you can still create PDFs from any of these applications via the Bluebeam PDF printer.

To activate the CAD plugin, first check the Compatibility Chart to see if your version of Revu supports the installed version of your CAD software. Once confirmed, follow these steps:

You must run your CAD software using the current Windows account for the Bluebeam plugin to load.
  1. Close your CAD software, if it is running.
  2. In Revu, Go to Revu > Administrator.
  3. On the Plugins tab, select your software and select OK.
  4. Restart AutoCAD.

If AutoCAD is already selected, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Bluebeam Administrator.
  2. Clear the check box and select Apply. Don't close the Administrator.
  3. Open AutoCAD. Once it opens, close it immediately.
  4. Return to the Bluebeam Administrator.
  5. Select AutoCAD, and select OK.
  6. Restart AutoCAD and close Bluebeam Administrator.
