Use the Revu SharePoint integration

Applies to:

  • Revu 21
  • Revu 20

Revu 20.1 introduced a SharePoint integration that allows you to open PDFs in Revu from your SharePoint library. Once the integration has been installed in your SharePoint environment, you can check out, edit, and check in your PDFs, all within Revu.

Open SharePoint documents in Revu from a browser

With the SharePoint integration app installed in your SharePoint environment, follow these steps:

  1. Open your SharePoint site in a web browser.

  2. Right-click a file name or select the three-dot button next to the filename, and select Open in Revu.

  3. A pop-up window asks if you want to allow SharePoint to open files in Revu in the future. Select Always Allow, and then select Open Link.

If you attempt to open a file that isn't a PDF, you'll receive an error.

Your PDF will open in Revu. To see a list of recently opened files, open the Recents folder of the File Access tab.

To check files out from SharePoint and begin editing, select the lock icon in the Document tab of your workspace, then click Check Out. Check the file back into SharePoint by selecting Check In within the same menu.

Open SharePoint documents from the Document Management toolbar

Once you've opened a file using the "Open in Revu" option in SharePoint, Revu will remember your SharePoint credentials. You can then use the Document Management toolbar to access your SharePoint files without leaving Revu.

To enable the toolbar in Revu, go to Tools > Toolbars > Document Management. The toolbar should already be connected to SharePoint Online. Select Open File (DMS) to begin browsing your SharePoint server.
