Bulk add and update users | Org Admin
Applies to:
- Revu 21
- Bluebeam on web and mobile
An IT Admin or an Org Admin can use a CSV template supplied by Bluebeam to add multiple users and update information for multiple users in their organization.
When you bulk upload users, Org Admin compares the email address for each user listed in the CSV file with our user records to determine whether they are a new user or an existing user whose information needs to updated.
Bluebeam creates an account/Bluebeam ID (BBID) for that user.
Bluebeam recognizes the email address as a BBID and compares the user information for that account with values in the CSV file. If differences exist, the information in our system is updated with the values in the CSV file.
Bluebeam creates a new account using the email address in the CSV file, and the user will have two accounts/BBIDs.
To bulk upload users, log in to Org Admin and follow these steps:
-
From the left sidebar menu, select Users.
-
To the right of Users, select Add User.
- Select Bulk Add or Edit Users.
- From the Bulk Add or Edit Users dialog, select Download CSV Template, then follow these steps:
If you've added multiple users via the template previously, be sure to download and use the latest version of the template when attempting a subsequent bulk upload. Otherwise, it won't process.Don't delete any columns from the CSV template (even for non-mandatory fields). Otherwise, your bulk upload will not process.
- From your Windows Downloads folder, use Microsoft Excel to open the CSV template.
- Input the following information (you may add up to 500 users at a time):
If you're outside the US, even if your Org Admin interface is localized, all column titles in the template must remain in English and the input must be entered exactly as shown where indicated.
Required Fields
- First Name

- Last Name

- Email

- Serial Number
If the user is to be an unpaid collaborator, enter "Unpaid" in this cell.
Optional Fields
If you leave the following column values blank in the CSV template, the server region defaults to US and the preferred language defaults to English (US).
These fields don't update. If user updates are part of your bulk upload, the users' existing preferred language for correspondence and their server region won't update in Org Admin, even if the field values in the CSV differ from those in our system.
- Server Region
(You must use the
English spelling, capitalization, and punctuation as it appears here.) - Preferred Language
(You must use the
English spelling, capitalization, and punctuation as it appears here.)
Entries in the Preferred Language column determine only the language for the invitation email sent to the user, not for Revu or for the user's server region. Users select their preferred language for Revu in their account settings. - First Name
- Save the file in CSV format to a preferred location.
- From the Bulk Add or Edit Users dialog, drag the CSV file or select Browse to select it from the File Explorer.
- Select Done.
If the upload encountered validation errors, a list of validation errors and the CSV file rows on which they occurred appears on the screen. Open the CSV file, correct the specified errors and save the file, then select Back to upload the CSV file again.
After bulk uploading users, you may import another CSV list if needed. The new users will appear under Users with a Pending status until their accounts have been activated via the email invitations they each receive.
