Should I use Revu 64-bit or 32-bit?
In computing, there are two types of operating systems: 64-bit and 32-bit. Your computer's operating system (OS) determines how much memory (RAM) is available. For example, computers that run 64-bit versions of Windows OS have more processing power and memory than those with 32-bit processors.
Identify your operating system
Most computers manufactured after 2010 will have a 64-bit OS. To identify if your computer has a 64-bit or 32-bit OS, see this Windows article.
Revu 64-bit (recommended)
If your computer has a 64-bit OS, you should use Revu 64-bit. This will ensure that you can take advantage of powerful Revu features that require more memory, such as optical character recognition (OCR).
Revu 32-bit
In some instances, Revu 32-bit is the recommended solution, such as when an older printer must be accommodated. For more information see this article.
