General functionality
Revu Offline is $795 per license.
To purchase, contact your Bluebeam salesperson, account manager, or customer support, and they can process the order. Revu Offline is not currently offered on the Bluebeam website.
You will be notified when your renewal date approaches. On your renewal date, your licenses will auto-renew and you will be assigned a new designated machine key through Org Admin. Before reactivating your licenses, you have the option of reinstalling the latest version of Revu to ensure your team is always using our newest technology.
The offline license functions as a count-down clock. Once the term (1 year) is counted down, Revu will no longer be accessible. There is a 7-day buffer after the countdown is finished before you will be automatically logged out and unable to use Revu.
Yes! However, there are some limitations:
-
You can shut down the VM or move the VM.
-
You can't remove, delete, or destroy the VM.
Removing, deleting, or destroying the VM will result in the irrevocable loss of the Revu license. -
Each VM must have a unique MachineID.
-
Each VM must be deployed in a persistent configuration.
Revu has been tested in several environments but is not certified by any VM technology companies. You should thoroughly test your VM installation methodology prior to use.

Yes, Bluebeam doesn't block users from adding an on-premises DMS.
License management
Revu can be installed onto offline machines using any manner that complies with your security controls (for example, via a USB storage, a network connected storage, the end user's machine, etc.). See Generate and install an offline license for more information.
Once a machine as been added and authorized, you cannot remove the license. If you need to remove an offline license machine, contact Bluebeam at support@bluebeam.com.
The Org Admin who created the license key has the option to download the license key to their local machine, a USB storage, a network connected storage, the end-user's machine if that machine is connected via a network, or any other location they could save a standard file.
Once the license key file is saved, any user can move the license key to the end-user machine and complete activation using the locally installed Revu client.
Technical details
For hardware and system requirements, see Bluebeam Revu 21 System Requirements & Plugin Support.
The MachineID/Hardware Id is a Hash of the Motherboard Serial Number (so the serial number is not directly displayed). Revu gets the Motherboard Serial Number from the ManagementObjectSeacher class in System.Management in .NET.
You copy the MachineID/Hardware Id from Revu on the system that will be licensed. To get the ID, see Retrieve the machine information.
Bluebeam stores the license file data in C:\ProgramData\Bluebeam Software\Bluebeam Revu\<HWID>.dat.
The generated license is a .dat file that contains a text only .dat file that contains a JSON Web Token (JWT) and is not an executable (.exe) software file.
