Unable to transfer my license because my computer crashed, was lost, stolen, or reformatted

Solution

If your computer has crashed, if it has been re-imaged / reformatted, or if you no longer have access to the registered device, you must contact us to have the seat released (i.e., unregistered) before transferring your license to a working device. Please follow the steps below to submit a support ticket.

  1. Go to our Contact page.
  2. Scroll down to the contact form.
  3. Enter your name, email address, and all other required information.
    The email address given must correspond to an email address listed as a contact for your license.
  4. For Inquiry Type, select Subscription or License Registration Support.
  5. Under Describe Your Issue, copy the template below and paste it into the field. Be sure to include your computer name, serial number, and a brief explanation of why you need the seat released.

    I’d like to request to have my seat released from computer {computer name} under serial number {your serial number here}.

    I need this seat released for the following reason(s):

    {brief explanation of why you need the seat released}.

  6. After you’ve entered all required information, select Submit.

After submitting your request, you’ll receive an email confirming that your license has been released and is available for registration again. If you have additional questions about your Revu 20 or below license, visit this FAQ.
