Bluebeam Revu 20 System Requirements & Plugin Support

This article applies to:

  • Revu 20

Operating Systems

  • Windows 11 (32-bit and 64-bit)

  • Windows 10 (32-bit and 64-bit)

  • Windows 8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit)

Because Windows 10 in S mode only allows the installation of apps from the Microsoft Store, Revu is not compatible with Windows 10 in S mode.
Microsoft ended support for Windows 7 on January 14, 2020. With this in mind, we’re unable to support Revu software running on unsupported versions of Windows. For more information, please see our Technical Services Overview.

  • 4 GB (32-bit Windows)

  • 8 GB (64-bit Windows)

Hard Disk: At least 5 GB of available space may be required

Using Revu with typical office documents

When using Revu for general office applications, a mid-range computer that meets the above requirements may be used.

Using Revu with large sets of engineering documents

When working with large drawing sets (for example, construction project bid sets) in which the PDFs may contain hundreds of large format drawings, it is recommended that workstations have adequate memory and processor resources. A recommended hardware configuration would be 64-bit Windows with an Intel i5 Dual Core or better processor, as well as at least 8 GB of RAM. Revu can run on systems with lower specifications; however, a workstation with these specifications will provide the optimal performance.

Using Revu for OCR

OCR is included with the 64-bit version of Revu eXtreme. OCR will not work in 32-bit Revu.

.NET Framework

As part of the installation, the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.1 will be installed if .NET 4.7.1 or higher does not already exist on the workstation.

Note: Windows 10 machines must have the Windows 10 Anniversary update or newer in order to install .NET Framework 4.7.1. For more information, please refer to the Microsoft website.

Virtual Environments

Revu 20 is certified Citrix Ready® on Server 2016 R2. See the Revu Citrix Ready page for the full list of certified applications.

In order to stay compliant with our EULA (End User License Agreement), each organization must purchase as many seats as there are Revu users in your organization.

To learn more about Citrix compatibility and virtual environments, see Bluebeam Revu in a Citrix Environment.
