Thumbnails panel
The
Thumbnails panel shows small previews of PDF pages for quick navigation within a multi-page document.
Go to Window > Panels >
Thumbnails or press ALT+T to show the
Thumbnails panel.
The Thumbnails panel toolbar provides easy access to the following actions:
Thumbnails menu:

Page Setup: Launches the Page Setup feature, through which pages can be resized, rotated, and more. -
Cut Pages: Cuts the selected pages.

Copy Pages: Copies the selected pages.

Copy Page to Snapshot: Copies the current page as a Snapshot.

Paste Pages: Pastes copies or cut pages.

Apply Stamp: Launches the Batch Stamp feature to apply stamps to selected pages. -
Insert Blank Page: Inserts a blank page or pages in the current document. -
Insert Pages: Inserts pages from other PDFs into the current document. -
Extract Pages: Extracts specified pages from the current document into a separate file. -
Replace Pages: Replaces specified pages of the current document with pages from another file. -
Delete Pages: Deletes selected pages from the current document. -
Rotate Pages: Rotates selected pages 90 degrees (in either direction) or 180 degrees. -
Number Pages: Applies a page numbering style to specified pages. -
Re-Label: Makes the label of the current page editable.

Export Pages: Export pages of the current document in one of several formats.

Email pages: Creates an email with selected pages as an attachment.

Print Pages: Prints selected pages from the current document. -
Repair PDF: Attempts to repair various display errors in the current document.

Flatten: Flattens markups in the current document. -
Markup Summary: Generates a Markup Summary in one of several formats.
Labels: Toggles page labels shown beneath thumbnails on or off. Select which label elements should be shown:

Page Label: When enabled, shows page labels for the thumbnails. To change the information shown in these labels, see Editing Page Labels.

Page Scale: When enabled, shows the page scale for the thumbnails, if set.
Create Page Label: Creates page labels automatically using the PDF's bookmarks or based on one or more specified Page Regions on the PDF that are consistent on each page.
Navigate through the thumbnails using either the keyboard arrow keys or the mouse.
When working with the thumbnails, more than one page of a document can be selected in order to manipulate multiple pages at the same time through the Thumbnails menu (discussed above). Hold down SHIFT or CTRL to select multiple pages.
You can create and edit page labels for any or all of the pages of your PDF from the Thumbnails tab. See Editing Page Labels and Page Numbering for more information.
You can change the order of pages in a multi-page PDF from the Thumbnails tab by dragging the thumbnail of a page into the desired location. See Reordering Pages for more details.
You can set or change page scales for one or more pages from their thumbnails.
- Single page: If the Page Scale label is shown beneath the thumbnail, double-click it. Alternatively, right-click the thumbnail and select
Set Scale. - Multiple pages: SHIFT-select or CTRL-select to select the desired pages, then right-click one of the thumbnails and select
Set Scale.
The Apply Scale to Pages dialog appears with the select page or pages automatically selected and options for inputting or calibrating the scale, setting different X and Y scales, and setting measurement precision. See Set page scales for more information.
