Reactivate a Studio Session
Applies to:
- Revu 21
- Revu 20
If you have Revu 21 with a Basics subscription plan, you can't be a Session host and can't perform the procedures in this topic. You must have an activated Core or Complete plan to be a Session host.
A Session host can reactivate a Session from the Studio portal before it's permanently deleted from the server.
If Sessions aren't finished by the host (or an attendee with full control permissions):
-
After 80 days of inactivity, the host is notified via their BBID email that the Session will be archived in 10 days.
If the email doesn't arrive in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder and make sure that studio@bluebeamops.com is on the approved list of senders. -
After 90 days, the Session is archived.
-
After 170 days, the host is notified via their BBID email that the Session will be deleted in 10 days.
-
After 180 days, the Session is permanently deleted and can no longer be recovered.
Reactivate a Session
Hosts can reactivate a Session that has been archived, suspended, or marked as 'deleted' by following these steps:
- Close Revu.
- Go to your Studio portal page:
Select Studio Portal - Log in with your Bluebeam ID (BBID).
Studio Prime users must switch to Classic Mode before continuing. To do this, select the email address located at the top right corner of the Prime Portal. From the drop-down menu, select Classic Mode.Support for Studio Prime has reached End of Life on December 31, 2025. For more information, see the Studio Prime end-of-life article.
- From My Sessions, select the Session to reactivate.
- In the Profile tab, from the Status drop-down menu, select Active.
- Select Update data.
- Open Revu and log into
Studio.
The Session is now active and will appear in your Sessions list.
Inactive Session notifications
Hosts will receive an email notification 10 days before a Session becomes inactive and marked as 'deleted.'
To keep the Session active, click the first link in the email.
The link opens a new tab in your browser before launching the Session in Revu. This will reset the time stamp for the Session, keeping it active and extending the period before it's marked as 'deleted.'
