Viewing PDFs
Revu is tuned for viewing multiple large drawings easily and efficiently. You will find mouse, keyboard, and other navigation tools are intuitive and easy to use. See Navigating in Revu for details on how to navigate a PDF with Revu.
Multiple PDFs can be open at the same time. Each PDF opens in a new tab. Tabs provide an efficient method for switching between open files: click on a particular tab to show that file in the workspace. The following example demonstrates that for four open drawings in this particular session of Revu, there are four tabs. Clicking on a particular tab refreshes the current workspace with that drawing.
There may be as many PDFs open as system and memory resources allow. If there are many tabs open, their names might be obscured. In that case, click the Document Access arrow in the top-right of the workspace to show a menu of all PDFs open in the current session. The names will be sorted alphabetically. A checkbox indicates the PDF that is currently active in the workspace. Select a PDF to make it active in the workspace.
To close a document, click on the to the right of its name on the document tab, or click the scroll wheel anywhere in the document tab.
To rotate the view of a PDF, go to View > Rotate View and select whether to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise.
- Alternatively, press CTRL+SHIFT+PLUS for clockwise or CTRL+SHIFT+MINUS for counterclockwise.
See Rotate View for more information.
Note: Rotate View is only a temporary change to the display of the PDF and will not be saved with the PDF. Use Rotate Pages to permanently rotate the PDF.
To view the current PDF in a slide-show style, full-screen Presentation mode go to Window > Presentation or press CTRL+ENTER.
To go to the next page, click the mouse anywhere on the screen or press DOWN ARROW or PAGE DOWN.
To go to the previous page, right-click the mouse anywhere on the screen or press UP ARROW or PAGE UP.
To exit Presentation mode, press ESC.
