You’re prompted to log into Revu even if you didn’t log out

Problem

Some customers who open Revu 21 are asked to log in even though they never logged out.

Solution

Follow these steps to rename the entitlement.dat and NamedUser.dat files:

  1. Close Revu 21.
  2. In Windows File Explorer, navigate to the following file path:
    C:\Users\Your Windows User Name\AppData\Local\Bluebeam\Revu\21

    ​​​​​The \AppData folder is hidden by default. If you don’t see this folder, use this Microsoft article to learn how to show hidden files in your version of Windows.

  3. Right-click NamedUser.dat and select Rename. Add _old to the end of the filename.
  4. In File Explorer, navigate to:
    C:\Users\Your Windows User Name\AppData\Local\Bluebeam\Revu\21\Packages
  5. Right-click entitlement.dat and select Rename. Add _old to the end of the filename.
  6. Open Revu and log in.
