Announcing Studio SE

This article applies to:

  • Revu 20
  • Revu 2019

Studio SE is a new Bluebeam Studio instance hosted in Sweden to ensure that you can effectively collaborate and manage your project information while meeting local requirements. If you’re outside of the United States, you may notice an increase in upload and download speeds by choosing an instance of Studio in a region closer to you.

Each Studio instance is completely independent and no user data or accounts are shared between them, which means that anyone that you’d like to collaborate with in Studio SE must also be connected to Studio SE. See Changing your Studio region to learn more about all of the available Studio instances and their regional regulations and requirements.

How do I Access Studio SE?

You can select your Studio region in Revu 2019 and later. If you haven’t already, you’ll need to create a Bluebeam ID (BBID) that’s specific to Studio SE.

In Revu 20:
  1. Open the Studio panel (Alt+C)
  2. Click the flag icon and choose Studio SE .
  3. Sign in using your Bluebeam ID for Studio SE.
Revu 2019 users must first add Studio SE to their list of servers:
  1. On the Studio (Alt+C) panel, click the flag icon and select Manage Servers .
  2. Click Add, and then enter bluebeamstudio.se in the Address field.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Sign in using your Bluebeam ID for Studio SE.

Studio SE will now appear in your list.

Studio SE FAQs

Where does Studio SE store my data?

The Studio SE server region is hosted on an AWS instance located in the Stockholm region.

Is Studio SE GDPR compliant?
My team speaks Swedish. Will everything be localized for them in the Swedish Studio instance?
  • Swedish users accessing Studio from within Revu for Windows can expect a full Swedish interface.
  • Emails sent from Studio are currently only available in English regardless of which instance a user is utilizing.
  • The Studio portal is only available in English.
My team does not speak Swedish. Will they still be able to use Studio SE?

Yes, since the selection of the server is not tied to user language preference, you can connect to any Studio instance while having any supported language selected from within the Revu preferences panel. Automated emails from Studio, however, will continue to be English for the time being.

When will you have Studio (the UI, emails, etc.) available in other languages?

At this time we cannot provide a specific timeline for translating all Studio content to non-English languages.

Is there a list of all currently available Studio region URLs?
What security protocols does Studio adhere to?

Bluebeam regards the security of our customer data as one of our highest priorities. We have stringent internal access controls to our Studio platform infrastructure environment, using leading practices around multi-factor authentication and identity access management. We also ensure proper logging of access, change control management, and perform regular vulnerability assessments. More information can be found in our Studio security guide.

How do I invite a user to a Session or Project who uses an account in another Studio region?

Invite them as you would any other user. They’ll need to make a new BBID for the Studio region where the Session or Project resides.

How can I recover a deleted Session or Session document on another Studio region?
Will my account in a non-US Studio region work with the Bluebeam Gateway?

The Gateway is only compatible with US-based accounts. Gateway admins will need to continue using their US-based BBID account to manage licenses through the Bluebeam Gateway.

Do non-US Studio regions offer an API, or provide access to Studio Prime?

Studio Prime and API access are only available from the US Studio region.
