Bluebeam Account in Read-only mode after subscription expires

Applies to:

  • Read-only
  • Basics
  • Core
  • Complete
View Mode in Revu 20 & below is now known as Read-only in Revu 21 and Bluebeam Cloud. For more information, visit this article.

Problem

If you haven’t renewed your subscription, your access to Revu 21, Studio, and Bluebeam Cloud will automatically switch to Read-only once your Bluebeam Plan or free 30-day trial of Complete expires.

Revu 21

When you log in after the expiration date, you’ll see Package: Unpaid/Unassigned under your Bluebeam Account details.

No data is lost when your account switches to Read-only mode. It’s just a change in permissions. Any Studio data in Sessions and/or Projects will be retained for 120 days.

With Read-only access, you can still open, view, and print PDFs. You can also collaborate in Studio with limited access to markups and properties. For more information about working in Revu 21 without a subscription, visit this article.

Bluebeam Cloud

After your subscription/trial expires, you’ll experience Viewer permissions in Bluebeam Cloud projects with a Read-only account. You’ll still be able to open and download PDFs but won’t have access to the Markup Editor or Comments and Shapes. You can still collaborate in Studio Sessions for the web. For more information about Read-only access in Bluebeam Cloud, see this article.

Read-only Bluebeam Cloud
With Read-only and Viewer access in Bluebeam Cloud, you can still place punches and post existing RFIs.

Solution

To restore Basics, Core, or Complete access, contact the Org Admin for your Bluebeam Account. Once your BBID is added to a Bluebeam Plan again, you’ll need to reactivate your account via email.

If you’re an Org Admin, you’ll need to accept your Bluebeam invitation via email and assign a subscription seat to your own account. For more details, check out the Bluebeam Subscription Management Guide.
